What is affiliate marketing?

Affiliate marketing is a way for content creators like us to earn a small commission by recommending products. When you click a specially tracked link on our site and complete a purchase, the retailer pays us a percentage of the sale. You pay the same price you would have paid without the link — the commission comes from the retailer’s margin, not your pocket.

How this affects our recommendations

Bluntly: it doesn’t. We purchase every product we review with our own money. We do not accept free products in exchange for positive coverage. Our editorial decisions — what to test, what to recommend, what to score poorly — are made entirely based on real-world performance, not commission rates.

Some of the products we recommend have no affiliate link at all. Some products with affiliate links receive our lowest scores. The affiliate relationship is a revenue mechanism — it is not an editorial one.

How to identify affiliate links

Affiliate links on Complete Cookware typically point to Amazon.com or other retailer product pages. We do not use special visual labels on every individual link, but this page serves as a site-wide disclosure that any product links may be affiliate links. When in doubt, assume that a product link may earn us a commission.
